Comparing Online and Real Store Shopping

Shopping is an activity of picking and/or buying of goods. Customarily, shopping is done in shopping centers such as shopping malls, town markets or bazaars.

However, with the advent of the internet technology, online shopping emerged. Online shopping is a process where consumers are able to pick and/or buy products or services over the internet. There is a wide variety of e-shops available online. Almost all products and services that you can find in real stores can also be found in the internet ranging from clothing and accessories to automotive parts and services or from books to concert/movie tickets.

The main advantage of online shopping over shopping in real stores is the convenience that the shopper experiences. Online shops are available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. You can shop anywhere in the world at the comfort of your own home. There is also a larger range of choices from different vendors and at the same time price comparison services can be used to see which offers the best deal. Reviews from other customers are also available so as to verify the credibility of each vendor.

Shopping on real stores is more conventional. It allows consumers to be able to see the actual product before purchase. And for some shoppers, going through the process of selection of products may be stress-relieving or therapeutic for them.
